Beady Eye - BE

I've been waiting for this album to appear on my doorstep for a good while now, Beady Eye are back and they are better than ever.

Liam Gallagher's raunchy take on singing is unmissable, something we've all missed since those early Oasis days, and it's easy to see that once again he is creating music that he loves along with Gem Archer, Andy Bell and Chris Sharrock, they've brought back a great style of rock and roll that was dying out.

I do love the album, much better than 'Different Gear, Still Speeding', mainly because the songs are more sexy, they make you want to walk down the street with a strut, which is something we expect from any song that has Liam Gallagher singing. The perfect summer album, the perfect album for driving in with it's raunchy attitude and 'kick in the balls' power.

Gem is fantastic, as per usual with that man. He makes us see why they are doing great without brother Noel, Gem has enough skill as a guitarist and song writer to hold the band together, though one cannot dismiss Andy Bell's input to this masterpiece of an album, I don't think I can see a problem at any point during the album with any of the musicians. It's fantastic!

15 songs, 15 pieces of pure music. Opening with 'Flick Of The Finger' was a great choice for an opener, it sets the bar for what this album is going to be, Beady Eye showing who they are and what they're made of with a dramatic and godlike introduction that will have heads turning anywhere it's played. Though my favourite from the album is 'Don't Brother Me', now it's obvious who this is about but let's ignore that for a moment, set that little fact aside and just listen to that beautiful melody. "Give peace a chance" is a line echoed through the melancholy rhythm and there is nothing this song does but bring me peace, it's a lullaby of perfection.

BE, welcome back!
