Where? Aspire, Redcar, who was I with? No one, Owen (Lead Vocalist and Guitarist) invited me to this one, and being the dedicated friend I am I went all on my own - it was a bugger paying for taxis. Luckily I did know people there, but did I care about being alone when Grey Britain entered? Nope!
It's always a strange one, going to see friends playing because I often have to stroke their egos even if they were a pile of shite - that's why I don't often write up about these bands, but Grey Britain are different, Grey Britain are bloody good. They manage to get the atmosphere kicking with songs that everyone loves - like Year 3000, a great finisher for everyone to laugh and sing along with. Stebbings, Smith, and Hutchinson all play a special role in getting the night sorted, no band, or musician, that have been on so far have come close to the sound that these three guys produce, it's enough to tear the roof of this little club.
Every chance I get I'll be getting down to see Grey Britain, it's a night not to be missed, a night that will blow your mind away.
