Jake Bugg

Up and coming star Jake Bugg has brought back some dignity to music with his great new debut album that echoes the haunting tales of old American folk songs, but with an English spin on it.

With a unique voice Bugg's new album has brought an almost forgotten genre of music back from the grave. A battered old guitar is what accompanies him during the album, and what a fantastic sounds that Jake manages to get from his acoustic, it's beautiful and his voice - wow! It's an acquired taste that needs to love it first time, any Bob Dylan, Neil Young, or Johnny Cash fans will have fallen in love with Jake Bugg instantly just because it reminds them of music that they fell in love with years before.

I had the pleasure of seeing him at T in the Park, and what a great set it was. Apart from a terrible sound-check by the man himself the set was fantastic, he was a great performer and had each of the crowd hooked, which is surprising to be said of a new act playing at a festival.

I salute you Jake Bugg.
