Noel Gallagher - The Death Of You And Me.
Such a great tune. It shows a real turning point in the chief's musical journey, it also gives the impression that he's back - and better than ever. There's a wonderful New Orleans feel about the song, the use of the powerful horn section really takes you back to those old jazz numbers from the wonderful place that is New Orleans, it's almost as if he is paying homage to the greats from the people who, technically, gave us free music. Noel's vocals are very bluesy as he seems to be having a one way conversation with a girl who he wants to run away with, before the people who would be the death of her and him can get him - just wonderful.
